Podcast Episode 7 - Lounge Act
Live from the beach, I bring you Episode 7 of the Undercover Songs podcast!
Well OK, I lied, this is not live from the beach, this was pre-recorded before I left for my vacation, but I am at the beach right now so... It's the thought that counts, right? ;-)
This is a lounge/swing/big-band show so get ready for some heavy duty foot-thumping and finger snapping while listening to this.
The most observant of you might notice that we have, for the first time, a repeated song. Well it just makes sense, how could we possibly leave the great Frank Bennet out of this particular show?
We couldn't, so we didn't, so he isn't.
All clear now? Good.
Anyway, enough chat, let's see what's in store for you this time, shall we?
- 00:00 - Intro
- 01:02 - Frank Bennet vs The Smashing Pumpkins - Disarm
- 04:52 - Richard Cheese vs The Offspring - Come Out And Play
- 08:11 - Jamie Lancaster vs The Cure - Boys Don't Cry
- 11:53 - Paul Anka vs Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit
You can download the show here or listen to it directly with the flash player below.

Folks, thanks for the Boys Don't Cry cover. Very bossa-novaish.
Nicely done!
And Richard Cheese is always a good listen...

BTW, your accent in english DOES NOT offend my admittedly not so sensible eardrums... ;-) Even native English speakers have some kind of accent. I live in the south of the US now, sometimes it isn't easy understanding folks around here...
You do pretty well, and it is clear and easy to understand.
Humans and their knit-picking! ;-)
Regards!

Hey C.E., glad to hear from you again. I'm really pleased that you are still with us and still enjoying the show!
And yes, it is only human to complain about one thing or another but in the end it is all about the music right? :-) And I do hope we can keep up making shows that you all enjoy.
